• 6x4 compact sleeping tent with stakes, poles, Hammer
• A ground cloth on which to pitch the tent
• Two sleeping pads (insulate us from the ground below)
• Two make shift pillows - could also be used under our seats on the road
• Camping stove with two cans of fuel. We thought since these are available in most stores we could do with only two and buy more if we need
• Bungee Cord for tying down things
• Drinking water purifying tablets
• Matches - with spares
• Insect repellent Cintronella candles - the ones that are not exposed to wind drafts
• Regular candles in bottles for light
• Three handy flashlight - with spare batteries
• One good large 12V light running on the car battery through the lighter adapter.

• A length of nylon cord (and regular cord) for odds and ends
• Picnic table covering - fortunately the Honda CRV has an in built picnic table
